There are a lot of ecover scripts in the market to choose from but there is nothing compared with eCover Software Pro in terms of ease of use and price. The software can create ecover boxes, reports, CD’s, DVD’s, eBooks, cards etc just like any other more pricey scripts.
The software is very easy to use as the controls are very intuitive and you would be able to get the hang of it within a few hours.
One of the plus points is that the software does not require any action scripts or the Photoshop application to do its job. Just install it and you are set to go. You should be able to create a quality ecover image by just clicking and dragging the controls to get the desired results.
It is commendable that the quality of the ecover created is indeed good given the relatively cheap price.
Below are two ecover samples created by eCover Software Pro:
Note:The above samples were created using the following image dimension/settings:
Front image dimension: 550 x 675 pixels
Side image (1st sample) dimension: 133 x 675 pixels
eCover Software Pro controls:
Width: 1000 pixels
Height: 1400 pixels
Note: The above samples were scaled up (using HTML attributes) to highlight the quality of the images.
Let’s look at the things you need to do when you have have created your ecover image using the eCover Software Pro. When you are satisfied with the final result, just save it as a jpg file. However, when you click open your saved jpg file, you would notice that there is a lot of extra white space around the ecover image. You can crop out the extra space using a graphic application (I use Macromedia Fireworks) and resave it.
I would recommend that you get the eCover Software Pro if you are looking for a script that is easy to use, affordable and can produce relatively good quality ecover images.
